ELEMENTARY MUSIC AT GUTHRIE
Music Class at Guthrie is a fun interactive exploration of sound, voice, musical properties and expression. The daily procedure of the class will include improving sound quality, listening skills, recognizing the musical element of melody, harmony, and form. Students will also, be focusing on movement, music appreciation, creation and reading and writing skills. Students will perform in a Christmas concert in December. Students will be presented with a wide variety of music styles and genres to listen to and analyze and will be guided in expressing opinions thoughtfully and intelligently. Lastly, students will be asked to create original music through improvisation, composition, or using music technology.
